Thanksgiving Service and Offering

Wednesday, Nov. 27, 7 pm

Our Thanksgiving Service will be held on Wednesday, November 27 at 7 pm. We’ll have an open time for individuals to share about God’s provision and blessing. Join us for this special evening!

Throughout the month of November we collect a special offering which is used to support specific local and global missions as well as to help families in our community who have financial needs. See below for information about how this year's offering will be used.

To contribute, place your offering in the Thanksgiving envelopes or mark your check with “Thanksgiving”.

We are also partnering with New Hope Philly again this year to provide Thanksgiving meals to families in need in Southwest Philadelphia. Davisville’s goal is to collect 150 boxes of stuffing and 300 cans of sweet potatoes. Donations can be dropped off in the bins at the Welcome Center through November 17.

Global Focus - Endure International

A portion of our Thanksgiving offering will be given to Endure International to help alleviate two burdens:

  1. The church in Algeria as a country is facing unprecedented persecution at the hands of the authorities. As of October, 21 churches have been forcibly closed. Endure’s leader and others are being questioned by police and are under supervision. While Endure’s six church plants are all underground and thus far have not been affected, they want to come alongside the pastors of those churches and their families and help provide some relief.
  2. Ministry to the Shiite Muslims of southern Lebanon has been running on an empty tank for quite some time. The Lord is gathering fruit despite the risks involved. The costs of this ministry run in the thousands of dollars annually.

Local Focus - Life Abundant

In 2018, Bucks County spent over $42,000,000 on corrections. The average daily jail count was 1,228 inmates and there was nearly 2,500 first time offenders.  Life Abundant is asking the question, “How do we reach more people with more resources?” A portion of this year’s Thanksgiving offering will be given to Life Abundant to help them provide the resources to accomplish the ever growing mission to assist inmates, ex-offenders and their families become productive members of our society.

Davisville's Thanksgiving Fund

We believe we have been uniquely placed in Southampton to be a blessing to our community. Throughout the year we have numerous requests to assist families with food, housing arrangements, and/or monthly bills. These requests come from within the church family and from our community at-large.  A portion of the Thanksgiving offering will be given to meet these needs.
