The number of aging adults in our area is growing and we want to help meet the emotional, social, and spiritual needs of this community. We recognize that the aging process is filled with many different challenges but it also brings wisdom from lived experiences. By providing inter-generational connections we can facilitate learning through an atmosphere of honor and dignity.

For our purposes, we are defining an older adult as someone in the latter stages of life who finds themself in one of the following situations:
- Homebound
- Living Alone
- Feeling Isolated
Understanding that this is an issue inside and outside of the church, we have created two different teams to provide companionship and support: Inward Focused Team and Outward Focused Team. If you are interested in volunteering with one or both of these teams, please click on the “Volunteer Form” below.
Inward Focused Team
This team is focused on providing care for older adults within our church family. A volunteer would be matched with an older adult to provide companionship through conversation, Bible study, playing games, or other hobbies/interests. Visits could be established on an every other week basis or once a month.
Outward Focused Team
This team is focused on serving the aging population in our community through partnerships with like-minded organizations. Currently, we are committed to serving meals to older adults and building friendships through service in partnership with Caring For Friends. Volunteers would commit to picking up frozen meals (every two weeks) that have already been prepared and drop them off at a designated home. Along with meal drop-offs, volunteers are expected to stay for an hour to build a relationship with the older adult. This is a great way to share the love of Jesus with people in our community.
