One of our practices at Davisville church is to provide opportunities for people to discover and grow in faith. We call this practice LEARN. Throughout the year we offer Learning Communities, Bible and book studies and other groups to foster learning. Current and upcoming opportunities are listed below. Click on the title of each for more info and to sign up.
Learning Communities
Grasping God’s Word - Thursdays, 6:30 - 8:30 beginning January 16
- Grasping God’s Word (GGW) offers participants the opportunity to develop their skills in reading, interpreting, and applying the Bible to life. Some of these skills include recognizing literary structural elements, determining word meanings, understanding the role of context, and how to use a concordance.
Starting Point - Wednesday evenings starting February 5
- Starting Point is an engaging group experience where you can explore faith, free from pressure and judgment. Whether you grew up in church, discarded your faith, or want to revisit faith this is a great place to start.
From Genesis to Revelation - Thursday evenings starting March 13
- These sessions will explore the books of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation to help understand how each book, collection of books and the genres work together so we can share God’s story with others. More info and registration coming soon.
